Baiting

“It looks scary,” said Corrine, staring up at the imposing edifice.

“It should,” replied Grant. “According to ghosttracking.com, there’s a Type IV ghost living here. We should definitely get pics.”

“What’s that?” She pointed.

The last thing either of them saw was a hideous stone face screaming towards them, marble wings outstretched.

Jonsyt clapped a hand on his father’s carved shoulder. “See Papa? I told you it would work.”

Grylsht, the gargoyle, lifted his head from feeding. “I always thought pigeons were tasty, but ghost hunters are even better.”

“Easier than catching pigeons.”

“Yeah, because you use ghosttracking.com as bait.”

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

I think that’s the first gargoyle story I’ve read so far. Very creative – well done.

Ghost hunters are probably not a very healthy food – after all, they spend too much time in damp basements and tenements, and probably don’t sleep enough.

And probably consume too much potato chips and soda. Then again, their regular diet of Pigeons isn’t much better. Pigeons only eat slightly better than ghost hunters. πŸ˜‰

      Thanks for swinging by!

Nice story, good take on the prompt. Didn’t know ghost tracking.com is used as a bait.

It could be if wielded by a clever, and hungry, gargoyle. It’s a new thing. It may catch on with the gargoyle community. So folks should watch out. Thanks for stopping in! πŸ™‚
