Shopping Cart Blues

Well, I’m the shopping cart
Don’t you know me?
I been hauling food and stuff
For your family

Now my wheel is stuck
Pushin’ me is a pain
So the bossman went and
Left me, in the rain

One day I was running free
Passed the rich old ladies
Had fun in the parking lot
‘Til I hit that dumb Mercedes

Now my wheel is stuck
Pushin’ me is a pain
So the bossman went and
Left me, in the rain

Got your fat kid in my basket
Fell through and hurt his knee
Now the Store’s in litigation
And you blame me?

Now my wheel is stuck
Pushin’ me is a pain
So the bossman went and
Left me, in the rain

I work in a supermarket. I’ve seen that fat kid in the basket and his Orca parents as well. Nice one.

A creative accomplishment to merge two seemingly unrelated things and make them work together. You, sir, made them work together mighty fine. When your wheel’s stuck and you’ve been left out in the rain, singing the blues can be cathartic. Thanks for the smiles your song gave me.
