When Gods Lust – Trifextra

Written for Trifextra: Week Ninety-Three. A limerick about lusty gods begins after the image. See the link below for the back story.

When Gods Lust

Trāyastriṃśa Nandi lusted for sweet Asura Riju
Her golden thighs and eyes he could never eschew
The mountain it shivered and shook
From the pleasures that they took
And peace flows from their joining on Mount Sumeru

Author’s Note: Trāyastriṃśa who live in the second heaven sometimes squabble with the ousted Asuras. Sometimes there are marriages between the two. All is explained, and my limerick is based upon, the wiki page found here.

This week’s Trifextra is limited to 33 words on the weekends as always. This was a special challenge as it should be related to the Buddhist “Heaven of Thirty-Three gods.” Thus the research above. Here’s this week’s prompt: http://www.trifectawritingchallenge.com/2013/11/trifextra-week-ninety-three.html

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.
