Episode 7
Dennis fished the cell phone out of the trash. “Get out of here, Dennis,” said the clerk. “I pushed the silent alarm out of reflex. Cops are coming. I’m so sorry!”
Dennis shook it off. “It’s okay. Gimme cab cash.”
The clerk offered $40 from his wallet. Dennis hailed a cab outside. He threw the money at the cabbie. “Downtown. Fast!”
He checked the phone. Helen didn’t call a cab. She called work. A satellite communications center downtown.
“What’s she doing?”

Did…did he just rob the clerk? Or are they friends enough he can ask for that kind of money? Or did the clerk…Aaargh! So many questions, need more answers 😀 Great addition and I see there is one more. Off I go! Great work!

The clerk felt bad that the cops are coming and gave him money out of his own wallet. He expects Dennis will pay him back.

Okay, I thought that might be the case 😉 Although with what’s happened since then, I don’t think Larry’s seeing that 40 bucks anytime soon (although that would be a excellent denouement to the story).

I think you’re right. Dennis is going to be really busy pretty soon. With cops after him, things could be a tad sticky.

Maybe Larry was too high to care? 😛
I wonder who Helen works for??? How are they involved? Loving the suspense in this story!

Like, Larry is, like, got the hots for Helen, you know, an’ like wants to help out an’ all. Larry is all chill an’ all. 😉
Right now it “maybe” looks like Helen works for the NSA, or maybe a company that the NSA outsources. Whatever it is, it’s got to be pretty serious or she wouldn’t run off without her meds. The suspense is awesome. Another great game, Kerrie!

Well the suspense is building nicely! Something from work Helen is worried about. Ah, the questions!

I know, this is so fun. Whatever happened at work has got to be major. I wonder if she expects an injection is handy by the time she gets to work? I agree. There’s many questions that need answering. 🙂

Now he’s got the cops in the mix as well! I hope Larry calls them off, Dennis has enough problems.
I wonder if Helen is some sort of spy or something?

The cops will complicate things. I think Larry will be able to call them off eventually, but they’ll still want to apprehend Dennis for questioning. They’re still going to make Dennis’ life difficult.

Excellent. Now the cops are on his tail. Cool 🙂

Hehe. If it was complicated enough. It’s good to make it hard on your characters. Thanks Al!

Poor Larry. All he wants to do is find his wife and make sure she is okay. Now the plot is thickening faster than a Hollywood blockbuster.

Yeah it is. I think Bruce Willis is looking on with envy.
