Episode 27

“Duck!”

Ben dropped to the floor without thinking. A creature landed on the floor and stood above him. Kelly’s pistol barked and the creature collapsed.

She pulled a large knife and began skinning the creature. Ben looked on in shock as she wrapped the skin around two broken mop handles.

“What?” said Kelly. “He said make a torch.”

They collected more slime into small garbage bags with cloth fuses. As they ran through an office, Kelly stopped suddenly, staring out the window.

“What now?”

“Window washing scaffold,” grinned Kelly as she shot out the window. “We’re taking the express elevator up.”

Oh no she isn’t. She’s an advanced operative who’s obviously survived nasty situations before. It’s probably why she got hired. Thing is, can she keep Ben alive?
