The Chain Writing Game V6.0 Ep:21

It’s time for another fabulous issue of Kerrie Ann Salsac’s Chain Writing Game! The game where many authors add 100 words at a time in sequence to build a story.

This week, no one including Jadir, has ever ventured beyond the wall. After a bout of drinking and dare, Jadir gains the liquid courage to travel into the unknown. What will happen? Will he survive? What is out there? It’s all of us to find out as the story unfolds. Join us!

Episode 21

“There’s a neurolator down here in Sector 16,” said Hasshum’Al. He pointed to the hologram with a shell-covered finger. “Replace it quickly.”

Asshuluk’Bol scratched at the soft tissue beneath his shell. He’d need a new shell soon. “Sure. Tomorrow.”

“No. Tonight!”

“What’s the worry? They’re conditioned to avoid the wall.”

Hasshum’Al fluttered eyestalks in frustration. “If the Adjani realize the fear-generating neurolator isn’t working, they might sneak in. If they convince the humans inside it’s livable outside the wall, we might have containment trouble.”

***

Hours later, as Asshuluk’Bol attached the new neurolator. He realized a human stood next to him.

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

Ah, here comes the other side. We don’t have many episodes left to bring this to a climax.

Yup. That’s what I was thinking too. We need some bad guys to play against, to explain why the wall is there. We don’t have a lot of time to set up a battle between the two, so I wanted to get started.

Ah ha. The men/crab-things behind the curtain. I guess it’s these guys Jadir needs to take out.

Oh yeah. These are the Ezreet. The ones playing some kind of game with the humans. Personally, I think they’re breeding slave workers. The easily conditioned ones, stay inside the wall. The difficult to manipulate, escape. That’s why they want to kill off the Adjani.
