“Give me health and a day, and I will make the pomp of emperors ridiculous.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nature
I can’t believe how much I miss seeing turtles and frogs. They’ve all but disappeared around here. They were the treasures of my childhood.
Eric: remember Fred, Ted, Ned and Ed? best fly catchers in the garden.
I certainly do! Freddy was a great childhood friend. He loved that spot beneath the water spigot. That toad grew enormous with all he ate!
They are so cool aren’t they? It’s always a pleasure to see them.
Oh one of those poor tortoises looks like he’s had a run in with an outboard motor 😦
Beautiful photos, Eric.
I was looking at that too. Something happened. I guess he’s tough enough to take it. He was pretty big. Thanks Lyn. I’m glad you liked them.
All photographs are beautiful. Turtles are looking very amazing. You excel in photography also.
Aw shucks. Thanks, Indira! I really enjoyed the turtles. Shey and I were birding at the time, and the folks leading the group pointedly reminded us were looking for birds, not turtles. For me, it’s all interesting and beautiful.
Love all captures esp the eastern bluebird.
