These are some great wildlife shots. I have been trying to take photos of birds, some with more success than others. The last mallard couple I tried to photograph both stuck their heads in the water. I thinking the were laughing underwater 🙂
The lizard almost blends in with his surroundings.

Thank you, Robin! Getting shots of birds is very tough. I took 187 pictures today, and only posted the best 6. *whew* It’s difficult but fun, and it’s a great excuse to get out and breathe “real” air. I think if the ducks were laughing you’d see air bubbles. 😉 When ducks do this, then they are called “Dabbling Ducks.” It’s a certain kind of feeding style. Others are Diving Ducks. The Eared Grebe is one of them. I only got this pic after three dives and a total wait of 20 minutes. Tricky getting a pic of divers, but still fun. Thanks for stopping in! 🙂

Good to see Pied-billed Grebe next to Coot for size comparison purposes.Pied-billed occasionally turn up in Britain and I’m just hoping one day to find one ona local patch.

I was surprised, a little, to see them hanging out together. But they stayed with each other a long time. I do hope you find one soon. Thanks for stopping in!

I adore grebes and you got great shots of them… also the colorful mallards. We stayed in beautiful Texas Hill Country a couple of times when we were full-time RVers…beautiful country..

It’s a bird-watchers paradise. Lots of different birds there. There were tons of RVers there at Ink’s Lake. I guess it’s a popular destination. Thanks for stopping in!
