Recently, we traveled to Pedernales Falls where the have the most wonderful bird blind. They place suet and seeds in the features and it draws masses of wild birds from the area. It was a real treat to photograph so many different birds in one place.
Red-Winged Blackbird (With fresh plumage, he was eager to show off)
Black-Chinned Hummingbird (F)
Brown-Headed Cowbird
Ladder-Backed Woodpecker
Lesser Goldfinch, Carolina Wren, House Finch

Every Wednesday, birders flock from everywhere in the world to show off their pics. You can find many more amazing pictures here: http://paying-ready-attention-gallery.blogspot.com/2014/04/wild-bird-wednesday-90-classic-australia.html
Great lot of birds in one place.

Hi what a great idea for the public and a wonderful opportunity to be able to photograph a variety of birds in one place. Your shots are all very good. The bird lifting out of the bird bath is great.

Never heard of a Lesser Goldfinch, and that’s an adorable woodpecker. We have a bazillion cowbirds in stock–will ship! LOL

Will you take Grackles in trade? We’ve got more of those than we know what to do with. There’s boatloads of unusual birds flying around here. Ever hear of a Towhee? I didn’t until recently. Thanks for stopping in, Patti! ๐
