Stealing – Yeah Write Gargleblaster

Stealing

“So what did you say?” asked Yxyt’Nala as she floated in the water.

“I said, ‘No. My mermaid,’ and then I shot him.”

“Oh my!”

“He’ll live.”

Yxyt’Nala wrapped her fishy tail around my tail, saying, “Thanks for stealing me back, Husband.”

  2. I liked this. I think you’re the only one who imagined the mermaid as married. Great story!

Haha! The Gargleblaster has a word limit of 42. According to the rules, I can’t even mention that the story is part of a writing challenge. But if you click on the Yeah.Write icon you can see the writing prompt. Otherwise you can be sure, I’d give you much more. 😉

I love the mermaid’s name. And the very matter-of-fact conversation between them. 🙂
