Shey and I have seen plenty of Ospreys in the past, but until recently, we’ve never gotten a good pic of one. They usually soar past and behind the trees before we get a good focus. While hiking the other day, I heard the call of one and my eyes tracked directly to it. Birds of prey have little appreciation for paparazzi and it’s very difficult to get close. Even if you do, they won’t sit still for it. To our amazement, this particular Osprey let us take as many pics as we wanted. We were thrilled!
Great Blue Heron
Turkey Vulture (“Here come the Judge!”) We were surprised to note that Vultures, Cormorants, and Great Blue Herons were all hanging out in the same set of trees.
Eastern Bluebird (“Whatchoo lookin’ at?”)
White-Throated Sparrow. Another bird we’ve seen before, but only on this day we got the picture.
