Entitlement
“Fine!” Walter shooed the waitress with a negligent flick of his hand. “Go away now.”
“You needn’t treat her that way,” commented Todd.
“I’m enjoying my wealth,” said Walter. “I’m entitled.”
He swallowed an oyster without looking at it. An immense pearl, a symbol of wealth, blocked his windpipe.
Frantically, Walter gestured to Todd for help.
“Sorry,” said Todd, sipping his coffee. “I’m enjoying the irony.”

He certainly wasn’t enjoying his additional new found wealth at that moment. Another good one, Eric 🙂

Yep. I how wonder how many people cursed him and his money, saying, “I hope he chokes on it!” Well, in the end, he did. Thanks Lyn! 🙂 I’m glad you liked it.

Great story, Eric! My spouse and I have recently been in some situations in which people who chose to be downright rude to us didn’t realize that we were close personal friends with an individual high up in their company. It’s always a good idea to be kind. You never know when Karma (or just circumstances in general) will strike you down.
All my best,
Marie Gail

Thanks Marie! I totally believe in being kind at all times. It’s not only good, it feels good to make someone else feel valuable and appreciated. And you never know when that karma will pay off. The flip side of that can be truly nasty sometimes. It’s not something to fool with. Glad you enjoyed the story. Thank you kindly! 🙂
