Starting Over
Jessica placed the baby on a park bench, and prepared another milk bottle.
The baby groused. “Milk again? I’m ready for a steak!”
“Nope. You don’t have teeth yet, Willy.”
“A little Kahlua in the milk?” he asked hopefully.
“Stop whining. The gypsy said one thimble of Elixir. You chugged a glass.”
“Whatever!”
Jeesica pushed the milk bottle into his mouth. “Drink your milk, my husband.”

Brilliant! I absolutely love this! The idea Jeesica having to raise her husband–I bet everyone feels their spouse is a baby sometimes, but damn! lol Great write!

This is so f*cking good! For every word you laid down, there’s ten more behind in imagery and feel. Too cool. It put me on a boardwalk, the gypsy working a summer shack for tourist entertainment. This couple certainly got more than they could have imagined!

Thank you! That’s curious. I did imagine them finding a gypsy on a boardwalk. I guess that idea came through. I’m glad to hear the depth of my idea emerged despite the limited number of words. The couple certainly got more thatn they bargained for. Life-changing, I’d say. 😉

I forgot to mention – The Twilight Zone, A Short Drink from a Certain Fountain, starring Patrick O’Neal and the incomparable Ruta Lee. A proper companion to your great C66.

“Maybe.” 😉 Now he’ll have everything served to him like it is for babies, but unfortunately, no steak. Glad you liked it. Thanks Suzanne! 🙂
