Thorough Study – Mondays Finish the Story

Thorough Study

Arriving at the beach, she reflected on her life.

Elena Yarrow was first in her class at the Star Academy. Her paper on Plasma Dynamics revolutionized starship design. And then she was assigned with…filing. Filing! Her requests for research money, ignored. Transfers? Lost.

Eventually, she was sent on a mission to find the lost planet of Avalon. The alleged planet of Granted Wishes? A myth! They wanted her out of the way.

Standing on the beach beside her crashed ship, she should be horrified at being stranded.

She wasn’t.

A tall, darkly tanned, and beautifully muscled young man offered her favorite drink. “Thank you, Martine,” she smiled.

Martine was possibly the sexiest man in human history. Just coincidentally here alone? How could he know what her favorite drink was?

She realized she should repair the radio and report she found Avalon.

One shan’t be too hasty, she mused, as Martine began massaging her shoulders. A thorough study is indicated.

Each Monday it’s time to finish the story. The photo above this week’s media prompt, and the story should begin with, “Arriving at the beach, she reflected on her life.” Look here for more stories based upon the prompts: https://mondaysfinishthestory.wordpress.com/2015/05/11/mondays-finish-the-story-may-11th-17th-2015/

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

Too bad she won’t give up the information anytime soon…I want to go there and have drinks served to me, and my shoulders rubbed. Good one Eric! Be well… ^..^

I promise not to tell anyone — how do you get to Avalon? Do you possess the star map? I could use a drink and a massage!

Hehe. Unfortunately, no. Elena offered her story to me, but not her location. That Martine’s “skills” are apparently so good, she’s unwilling to share. She wants him all to herself!

Indeed. It will require a full follow up and some more in depth research.

A paradise indeed! One that certainly needs a lifetime of research to establish the need for sharing the location. Well done Eric! ~

Yup! I expect she’ll be “studying” everything in “intimate detail” for as long as necessary. It may indeed involve a lifetime…and perhaps a bevy of children. 😉 Thanks so much! 🙂

A thorough study seems to be the consensus. It’s my pleasure to provide SciFi. It’s my favorite too! The image is Barbara Beacham’s though. She’s quite the skilled photographer. Thanks so much for the visit! 🙂
