The Chevy Muchachos

Abuelo Gomez pointed to the colorful cars half buried in the dirt. “The Chevy Muchachos are buried here beside their cars.”

“Okay,” said Manuel, bored.

“They were the greatest stunt drivers in all the world.” Abuelo Gomez’ grinned. “Eventually, they died a most macho and manly death.”

“What happened?” Manuel was suddenly curious.

“The vowed to jump the Chupapa Canyon. They succeeded, but they drove too fast and missed the other ramp.”

“That’s how they died.”

“No. They died in a nursing home in their 80s.”

“You said they died manly!” scowled Manuel.

“They did. And their nurse still doesn’t know which one fathered her son!”

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

  11. Dear Eric,

Macho and manly to the end. No doubt they all died with silly grins on their faces. You nearly had coffee coming out my nose. Nice.

Great story, Eric! I loved the twist at the end. Of course, the burial of these three manly men is appropriate too.

Oh dear. My mother was moving into a retirement village about a yeara ago, right when the news was reporting stories of after-dark shenanigans in nursing homes. It happens – allthough I don’t think it involves the nurses. Fun story with a great ending.
