Kitty Wake Up – Gargleblaster Microstories #226

Mia held the empty coffee bean jar. There’d been enough left last night.

Her visiting friend Kelly said, “I’m sorry! I thought it was cat chow.”

Mia sighed, looking up. “It’s okay, but I’ll need help getting the cat off the ceiling.”

There’s a cat. Then there’s a CAT on caffeine. A whole new world of insane just opened up.

I have had many cats over the years. And some of them have indeed ended up on the ceiling, but fortunately not due to caffeine. Loved the comedic turn of this one!

I’ve seen cats jump so high they almost reached the ceiling. Pretty amazing. I imagined a cat on caffeine might actually hit it. 😉 I’m glad you enjoyed the story. Thanks very kindly! 🙂

  8. Oh my! I thought it was going to end up that Kelly used kibble , grinding it for the beans. That would have been a mean cuppo joe.

LOL I’ve got to stop drinking coffee/tea while reading your comedic stories, Eric. I usually end up with it coming out my nose. Our cat doesn’t need coffee to get that deranged look. On a windy day his tail plumps up and he runs sideways stiff-legged on tippy toes. Never gonna try him on coffee 😀

As I read your note, I almost had rum & coke shooting out of “my” nose! 😀 Some cats are unnaturally wired too much as it is. Even a touch of caffeine and they can get seriously scary. Maybe your cat needs chamomile tea? Thanks kindly, Lyn! 🙂
