Job Security

Mr. Vecchio was horrible boss. He’d fired four previous foremen during the old building’s refurbishment. The pint-sized dictator ruled with his immense wealth and a tyrannical demeanor. Marty counted the days until his job as foreman ended and his kids went hungry.

Then one day, Vecchio raged at Marty. “I should fire you right now!” Vecchio showed him where some of the crew stood on a scaffolding, staring into a small window. “They’ve got a hooker in there and the whole crew is taking turns with her. Deal with this!”

“I’m on it, boss.”

Marty climbed up the scaffolding and chased the men off it. He peered in the window and realized what was really happening. He took pictures and saved them to his iCloud account. He climbed back down and faced his raging boss.

“Tell me why I shouldn’t fire your worthless butt right now,” screamed Vecchio.

“Sure,” said Marty. He held up his phone with a picture displayed. “It would be a shame if these pictures of your wife got out!”

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

Wonderful! Pictures really are worth a thousand words! The cell phone and icloud saved his job and tamed the boss a bit. Great story. 😄

Information is power… and apparently a picture is worth thousands… not just a thousand words?
