The Loophole

Azurillyx was a cross-roads devil. The kind that offered struggling musicians fame and fortune in return for their soul. His latest acquisition, “Lefty” McCown, was known for his left-handed guitar and his burning guitar licks. His style of Blues/Rock took the nation by storm. Azurillyx’s plan was working perfectly.

Except one thing.

Lefty wrote songs about hope and overcoming the odds. He wrote about staying clean of drugs. He never got in trouble with the law and he stayed faithful to his wife.

That wasn’t in the contract. Couldn’t he overdose just once?

Azurillyx found Lefty backstage after the final curtain call. Instead of a bottle of whiskey, Lefty drank fresh-squeezed juice.

Azurillyx glared with ice-blue eyes. “You’re breaking the contract, son. Remember, I own your soul!”

“Nope.” said Lefty.

“No? You stabbed your arm with my pen and signed the contract with YOUR blood. That’s binding, son!”

“Nope.”

Azurillyx shrieked, “How can you say that?”

Lefty held up his left arm. “Best prosthetic money can buy. Even bleeds realistically.”

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

I hope Lefty’s prosthetic arm can also shoot bullets or be useful in any way for self-defense, because I sense that Azurillyx is not going to be happy.

Hehe. He might need some bionic legs so he can “run from the devil.” Yeah, Azurillyx doesn’t take defeat very well. Lefty may have some “interesting times” ahead of him. 😉
