Lost And Found

In the tiny town of Leena, Alabama nothing ever happened.

So when the chair appeared, people noticed. A local TV reporter stood at the lake saying, “Swimmers confirm the chair is literally standing on deep water. It’s a bona-fide miracle!”

Hundreds of people took photos of the chair in the lake. People young and old waited to get baptized in the “miracle lake.” Some collected “holy water” and were already selling it on eBay.

In a hotel in Birmingham, maverick inventor Horace Clay poked through his swim trunks from the lake. He said, “Sweetie? Have you seen my holoprojector?”

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

  2. Wasn’t it PT Barnum who said, “There’s a sucker born every minute”? He’d have been delighted with Horace.

I don’t know where the holoprojector is, but it appears that people in Leena, Alabama aren’t familiar with the natural phenomenon when, in a cold enough temperature, the top of water surface turns into a transparent solid that could easily support the weight of a chair or even a human.

Yeah, they don’t get cold temps much in Leena. I understand they’re importing a guy from Minnesota to give them a briefing about the effects of cold temperatures. 😉

  12. Dear Eric,

Would the people of Leema care to buy a piece of toast with Elvis likeness imprinted on it…I swear it came swooshing through my rear window as I was driving over the Brooklyn Bridge, which, by the way I’d like to sell. Love it.

Jesus left the chair there so weary water walkers would have a place to sit and rest.

Sounds like everyone is cashing in on the miracle except for Horace.
