Knowing Everything

The foiled kidnapping attempt in Morocco left Martin rattled. His rescuer, Yeshaya, led him down an alley to a tiny restaurant.

Sipping tea Martin said, “Why is the Mossad watching over me?”

Yeshaya said, “The CIA asked us to help. Boeing engineers fetch a sizable ransom these days.”

“How did you know where I’d be?”

“We’re the Mossad! We know everything.”

“Like what?

“You’re favorite color is green. Your favorite food is Shawarma.”

“Ha! Never had it.”

Yeshaya just smiled knowingly.

Their food arrived and Martin tasted his first Shawarma.

Martin looked shocked, “How? Shawarma really is my favorite!”

Author’s Notes:

This story is for amusement only. It is not intended as a commentary on Morocco. As a gateway between the Middle-east and Europe, I think I can safely say most intelligence services and their enemies operate there. As of late, London could hardly be any safer than Morocco!

Mossad: Israeli intelligence service, similar to the CIA.

Boeing Defense, Space & Security: One of the world’s largest military contractors. They build the F-18 Super Hornet among many other systems.,_Space_%26_Security

Shawarma: Grilled, spiced meat roasted on a rotisserie. Often served in bread like pita or lavash with greens, tomatoes, and sauces. Warning: Eaters of Shawarma are prone to frequent cravings!

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

Which reminds me how long it’s been since I’ve had shawarma, mmm. Love the idea of the spy who knows you better than you know yourself, clever stuff!

Yep. When they can anticipate your tastes before you experience them, that’s really knowing everything! I haven’t had Shawarma in a while too. I think I’m developing “another” craving for it. 😉 Thanks much, Joy! 🙂

Just as I’ve suspected all along. Mossad is all knowing. 😉 As for Shwarma–what’s not to love? Tastefully written sir with your usual side of humor.

Good one. Love the spy theme. I just might have to make up one of those for my hubby. Ach, but he’s on restriction…no meat for 31 days since he left the groceries to spoil in the trunk.

Well, duh! Mossad are the best in the world. And the shawarma hints at subliminal conditioning. This one has a lot of possibilities. Well done.
