Saving Sanity

Prince Vincenzo and servant Suarez gazed from their boat to the castle one hundred feet up. Periodically, servants flew out of the windows.

Suarez gazed at Vincenzo worriedly.

Vincenzo called, “Malpunzel, Malpunzel! Let down your hair.”

Moments later they climbed the raven locks of Malpunzel. In her quarters Malpunzel groused, “It’s about time!”

“We saw the servants,” worried Vincenzo.

“Them?” Malpunzel waved a dismissive hand. “They just jumped.”

Vincenzo noted Malpunzel’s hair was merely shoulder-length. “Princess. Where is your hair?”

She led them to a room with thousands of feet of hair.

“It grows so fast!”

Malpunzel preened, “It grows an inch every time I throw a tantrum.”

Moments later, the two swam to their boat. Suarez said, “What did you tell her?”

“After you jumped out the window, I said I had to save you.”

“But I can swim!”

Vincenzo sighed. “I couldn’t tell her I was saving me!”

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

  4. Malpunzel! I guess she didn’t need saving from her tower as much as he initially thought. Well coiled and twisted. 🙂
