With a 7,000 year life cycle and bones that couldn’t fossilize, dragons lived only in human myths. Quite suddenly, the Time of Dragons returned. Luckily, the virtually impervious monsters proved uninterested in humans. Like bees, if you didn’t bother them they wouldn’t bother you.
Then again, just standing by could be nerve-wracking when 30-meter giants encountered one another.
Steel plant manager, Ben Norwood had hustled everyone inside while the dragons warred. The behemoths snapped and snarled, lashing at each other with their wings. The cacophony of roars chilled the bones.
Cambridge-educated dragon expert Moritius Hunt finally arrived. “Ah! It’s Molivoridon and Ampholyga…at it again.”
“They’ve done this before?”
“Of course!”
Norwood shuddered, “Why haven’t they killed each other?”
“Dragons are tough.”
A blow powerful enough to level a house knocked Ampholyga on her back. Molivoridon pounced upon her in an instant. He straddled her, preparing for the coup de grace.
“He’s gonna kill her!”
“You should probably wear ear protection now.”
“Huh?”
“Ampholyga is ready. She’s done with the flirting and foreplay.”

Hahahahaha! They aren’t fighting, they are mating! LOL! Great story! Loved it!

For some, the dating scene is a tad more physical. Me, I prefer dinner and a movie. π Thanks so much!

That’s certainly kinky. Feeling like a voyeur now. π

Haha! As long as you didn’t make a video and post it on YouTube. That’s a violation of privacy. π

I just hope they don’t crush a bunch of people while in the throes of passion.

No kidding. Minimum safe distance is one mile away. But since dragons can fly, going to another state is probably safest. π

LOL, great take on the prompt – I like how you incorporated the sign into the story. And what a coincidence, I just wrote my first (cough cough blush) sex scene in the new WIP I’m writing for NaNoWriMo. Mine isn’t nearly as funny as yours though. At least, I didn’t mean it to be!

Thank you! And first sex scene? Nice. Hopefully it was full of juicy, penetrating…dialog? π Judging by everything else you write, I’m sure it could inspire and move even the coldest of fish. Let me know when the novel comes out. Thanks so much, Joy!

Well, it’s actually more “awkward” and “depressing” than “juicy” — it’s part of Act 1, where I’m showing how messed up the main character’s life is, which (hopefully) helps explain why he makes the decisions he does later. I’m just starting to write the first draft, so the book publishing is, oh, about a million years away still? But trust me, I will let *everyone* know. π

Most cool. A sex scene that develops and defines the character is brilliant. The Nanawrimo works are always first draft. I think it’s awesome you’re doing it. You’re bound to get something good from participating.

I’ve had the critique of some of my earlier work that my characters seem younger than they really are, because they show insecurities (gee, do *other* people grow out of that and it’s just me?!?) and when you’re writing fantasy in a made-up world, it’s harder to show their age by their career or other shared cultural symbols (e.g., she’s a lawyer, so obviously she’s not 18). So this scene will hopefully show how jaded the character already is, and “age” him a bit.

They like it rough so they do!

Boy do they! Lets just hope they don’t go out on dates near anything fragile like the Eiffel Tower or the Taj Mahal. Could get messy. π

Sadly, there isn’t a hotel room big enough or strong enough for that pair. Best just to keep out of their way. Let’s hope they can control any offspring. I hear baby dragons can be a tad rambunctious π

Oh no. If you cold make a bank safe big enough to hold them it probably wouldn’t last long enough. Baby dragons are excitable, so it’s lucky dragons prefer raising them in remote mountain locations. Just like with humans, the real trouble comes from teen-aged dragons. They’re almost as strong as adults and without any self-control. π

LOL… I thought it was a kind of clash of clans…. both the dragons belonging to the warring factions… hehehe!!!

To humans it sure looks like that. When dragons teach their young how to swim, it’s pretty terrifying. Having dragons around will take some getting used to for humans. π Thanks for stopping in. π
