The Tradeoff

Alien technology was great, but the aliens took wicked delight in human foibles.

That’s why Jenny felt nervous at meeting George the alien in the cafe. He placed a tub of Haagen-Dazs Rocky Road before her. Jenny was addicted to it, and also horribly allergic.

George held up a vial. “These nano-meds will eliminate your allergy.”

Jenny hesitated, “And…”

“The side effects are: you’ll grow horns and a tail.”

She thought about it. The cafe’s patrons all listened in. Jenny turned to them and said, “should I?”

Across the cafe, tentacles, wings, and flippers rose up in a Yes vote.

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

  9. I remembered to put my coffee down before reading! Yah, bring on the ice-cream! No down-side there. Er – personally I’d hesitate if the nano-meds turned whoever took them into politicians, but horns and a tail? No problem…

LOL Hmmm it seems lots of other patrons had been eating what they shouldn’t too. Rocky Road wouldn’t tempt me, but double chocolate chip with fudge sauce just might 😀

That’s a tough choice. LOL. You never fail to bring out a laugh and it’s different every time. Very imaginative mind, indeed.
