While hiking and birding, Shey and I stumbled across this huge Texas Walking Stick. This monster was easily 6-inches long. Both of us took a video of it on the run.
Here are some stills of the giant.
Question Mark Butterfly.
Butterflies mating. And yes, they fly around like that.
These are beautiful Eric!! Love the walking stick. We came home last night to find a 3″ katydid sitting on our kitchen island. Hubby just caught it and put it outside… love living in Tejas, yes? ๐

Thank you! If this Walking Stick hadn’t moved about 6 inches from me, I wouldn’t have seen it. I love Katydids too. Cool looking creatures. And yeah, enjoying the wilds of Tejas plenty. ๐

Love stick insects and praying mantis. They feel all funny when they walk on you, but it’s not creepy ๐ Wish I could take pics like this. LOL might help if I have a camera

Haha! Yes a camera is a very good beginning. I’d love to see pics of the world around you. The bugs and birds you’ve got there would be wonderful to see. ๐

Thank you. They’re all fascinating to me. I’m so glad the butterfly sat still long enough to snap a pic.

Cool shots! I watched a couple butterflies as they prepared to mate last summer. It was crazy!
