She lived in a mango tree. The whole town loved her. Residents visited daily for some of her fresh mangoes. It wasn’t only the taste that people appreciated, it was her method of delivery.
Paul sat outside Buck’s Bar sipping one of Buck’s powerful home brews. Billy, from out-of-town, joined him and pointed to Celia Espinoza. She sold mangoes from her tree house in her own unique style. People received their mangoes tossed between her legs, hurled around her back, and heaved over her head.
“What’s she doing?” said Billy.
“That’s how Celia sells her mangoes,” grinned Paul proudly.
“Hey Lady!” shouted Billy to Celia ninety-feet across the street. “I want one!”
“I wouldn’t do that,” winced Paul. “She not only throws far…”
“Billy didn’t hear him as he giggled. “This should be funny.”
The incoming mango struck Billy squarely across the nose, and he sailed through the bar’s front door.
Paul finished, “…She throws really hard.”

Hahaha! I think she is in the wrong business. Sounds like she should be a baseball pitcher! Great story Eric as always, and I loved it!

Ever heard of fast-pitch softball? The best of those easily pitch no-hitters against major league baseball players. They’re really amazing and that’s what Celia is. Glad you got a laugh. Thanks much! 🙂

How sad. Billy isn’t going to be able to enjoy that deliciously sweet aroma of the mango for some time I should think. Nethermind…I think he’ll get over it one day 😉

Oh he’ll enjoy it just fine when he regains consciousness, because it’s smeared all over his face! Nether him nor anyone else could miss it. 😉 Thanks much, Lyn! 🙂

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. It’s always safer. Thanks very much, Suzanne!
