The Truth About Unicorns

When magic returned to the world in 2042, many things took getting used to. For instance, Hannah rode upon a winged unicorn as she approached the boat dock. Even more, the unicorn talked.

“It’s true,” said Rainfly, her unicorn.

“No way,” said Hannah, pointing towards the distant rainbow. “Rainbows are explainable natural phenomena.”

“Not all of them. Some of those rainbows are unicorn farts.”

“Okay, I know you’re magical, but that’s silly.”

But as they approached the dock, another flying unicorn passed them. As it did, it tossed its head back to the rainbow, looking embarrassed. “Excuse me,” it said.

About EagleAye

I like looking at the serious subjects in the news and seeking the lighter side of the issue. I love satire and spoofs. I see the ridiculous side of things all the time, and my goal is to share that light-hearted view.

Oh, forgot to tell you–finished the Huralon Incident and loved it! Which is saying a lot, since as I said before, sci-fi is not usually my genre. Your characters were believable; their ends were most fitting; and I love the way things ended. Really good writing πŸ™‚
