When magic returned to the world in 2042, many things took getting used to. For instance, Hannah rode upon a winged unicorn as she approached the boat dock. Even more, the unicorn talked.
“It’s true,” said Rainfly, her unicorn.
“No way,” said Hannah, pointing towards the distant rainbow. “Rainbows are explainable natural phenomena.”
“Not all of them. Some of those rainbows are unicorn farts.”
“Okay, I know you’re magical, but that’s silly.”
But as they approached the dock, another flying unicorn passed them. As it did, it tossed its head back to the rainbow, looking embarrassed. “Excuse me,” it said.

BTW, did you know that thunder is dragons sneezing? π

Awesome. I guess that means there were a bunch of sneezy dragons flying around the house today. π Glad you enjoyed. Thanks!

You probably know that the Unicorn is the National Animal of Scotland.
I am wondering now if that is how tartan was invented…

Now, I know. And I think Tartans came from Leprachaun burps… π Thanks CE!

Wouldn’t it, though? But it sure would be harder to blame someone else for it. π

Oh, forgot to tell you–finished the Huralon Incident and loved it! Which is saying a lot, since as I said before, sci-fi is not usually my genre. Your characters were believable; their ends were most fitting; and I love the way things ended. Really good writing π
